Dear Reader, we would like to take the opportunity to wish you a wonderful, successful and healthy New Year! 2014 will be an important year for learning innovation on the European level. Horizon 2020, the Opening up Education Initiative and Erasmus+ are large European programs that are just starting and that will have a tremendous impact on the European learning landscape. We are delighted to welcome all of you passionately back in the ELIG community to continue changing the way Europe learns in 2014. Please see our most recent activities in this newsletter. Best regards from the ELIG Team! Save the date for the ELIG Annual Conference 2014: 18th–19th of September in London to join over 120 academics, digital learning leaders, industry representatives, entrepreneurs and policy makers and engage in a rich dialogue over two days at the Institute of Education in London. Characteristics of this new format will be:
