Ensure your place. ELIG 2017: Hack the educational future
|
|
Dear [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME],
I am happy to announce that the ELIG Conference 2017
website including most speakers, workshops and program
details is now online.
We would be delighted to welcome you as our guest in
Aarhus on 28th and 29th September. The registration is now open.
Places will be limited to ensure a highly interactive experience.
Expect two intense and inspiring days with interactive
workshops, prototyping, plenary debates and impulse talks.
We have reversed the traditional setup of our conference
and will start right into practical design and maker sessions
on the first day.
With the Godsbanen Center for Cultural Production and the
Dokk1 Urban Mediaspace, the event will be hosted in two
great partner locations.
What could be a better location to explore the new Digital
Learning Culture than Europe’s Capital of Culture 2017.
With our best wishes
Elmar Husmann, ELIG Secretary General

Get Your Ticket Now
Digitalization is progressing rapidly. Impacting the domain
of work but also our social and private lifes. A popular narrative goes that education and learning would generally lag
behind in this transformation and could even fail to provide
21st century skills.
ELIG 2017 "Hack the Educational Future" challenges this
narrative and brings together leading cases from European
schools to higher education and innovative workplace
learning. From maker-, coding- and creative grassroots
initiatives, EdTech firms and the education industry. Experience with us and join the debate how modern learning and
education can empower to take creative control and shape
the digital future.
We will also explore the impact of latest cognitive – such
as natural language processing or AI – and immersive
technologies and how they could lead to new personalised
learning experiences at large scale.

Workshops at Godsbanen
A former good station turned into a place for urban creativity, making and cultural events, Godsbanen has opened
in 2012. The workshops of the ELIG Conference Day 1 will
take place in different locations in Godsbanen in the main
Foyer Area and in Remisen. All in an inspiring creative
atmosphere. The Godsbanen restaurant is also the place
for the evening reception.

Worth a Visit
Called in 2016 by the New York Times one of the 52
places to visit, we think that Aarhus is even more worth
a visit in this year: as the
European Capital of Culture 2017.
Denmark’s second largest city is a young, vibrant
and creative centre. And home of the country’s largest
university – our partner institution Aarhus University.
